This week's guest is Dominique, the creator of academic + fitness community, Scientists Who Lift. Dominique is a 4th year Ph.D. student, with a master's in Biophysical Chemistry. His current research focuses on the Time and Space organization of MMP9 and the proteins associated with it through TIRF microscopy. ⁠

We talked about his journey to researching breast cancer and transitioning from another program to now completing his doctoral studies at Howard University. Of course, we get into his fitness journey and how he created the @scientistswholift page. He shares the insight he gains from his lifting and some tips for folks interested in kick-starting their fitness journey while in grad school.
