Ep. 99: Out Here in These Academic Streets
As we countdown to SXSW EDU, I chop it up with another academic content creator who'll be participating in the panel! Ravynn is a Ph.D. candidate (ABD) in American Studies at William & Mary. Her dissertation research focuses on Black women and girls in new media narratives that are fantastic, futuristic and/or digital in nature. She's the brilliant mind behind the blog Black Girl Does Grad School and well known for her viral tweet about her Ph.D. checklist. She shares her how she started the blog, how she' grown and expanded the blog since 2016 while pursuing her PhD. We end with future plans for the blog and the direction she's taking with her growing personal brand.
