Today I chopped it up with the first academic blogger I followed ever--Joy Woods Bennett of Without A Space. She is a first-year Ph.D. student at the University of Texas Austin, studying communications.

Joy is well-known in the #AcademicTwitter community with her kick-it-to-you straight homegirl vibe and witty tweets and all around authenticity about her journey.
